It’s hard to keep a blog and write a post everyday. However, it is important that I write so that I can reflect on what I did everyday. Here’s a long recap on what’s been going on since I left Vancouver in November 2013…
Hong Kong / China
I flew to Hong Kong alone, while Conrad stayed in Vancouver to work and to save more money for the trip. This is my first time flying on a non-stop flight! Cathy Pacific have amazing food, ice-cream bar and cup noodle. Watched many movies! Annoying South-East Indian family… My dad picked me up from the airport and we stayed a night in HK before heading to Guangzhou the next day. After that, many different mini trips in China: Yixing teapot, Jingdezhen pottery, Shanghai city life. I got to spend some quality time with my grandparents for the remainder of the trip. My grandparents’ relationship reminded me of my parents’ relationship. After dinner every night, I would go for a walk around the track and my grandpa would complain about my grandma… it’s pretty funny. Oh, I’ve been trying to get my grandparents to get an ipad so I can chat with them. I have an iphone and I have to say, facetime is awesome and it’s better than skype.
